Have you ever been mistakenly identified as an employee? It happens to everyone at some point. Even if it hasn’t happened to you, it’s a common occurrence. Fortunately, there’s a community on the internet where people can talk about their experiences. It’s called r/IDontWorkHereLady.
One frequent target of this type of mistake is a user on Reddit who goes by the handle u/Wiggle_it_loose. He doesn’t try to sugarcoat the issue. He believes that he is approached so often because of his “retail face”.
Recently, he encountered an extremely rude woman at the supermarket who mistook him for an employee. The woman, whom he refers to as a “Douchebagette” for obvious reasons, demanded that he get her eyelash curlers. Instead of complying, u/Wiggle_it_loose decided to be honest with her, even though it was a risky move.
