The classic Volkswagen Beetle, officially known as the Type 1, has retained its popularity over the years due to its unique design. Its recognizable shape continues to be admired and the cars themselves are still in use today. One 1961 Volkswagen Beetle Deluxe, in particular, has caught people’s attention with its impressive transformation.
Designer Danni Koldal undertook the challenge of transforming the classic car into a sleek and stylish matte black roadster, with stunning results. To achieve this look, the car underwent several modifications. \
The front window was chopped and the roof was completely removed to make it a permanent Cabrio. Wider wheels with period-correct whitewall tires were fitted and the chrome bumpers were removed. Danni also added streamlined ‘torpedo’ side mirrors and painted the exterior a sleek matte black.
Despite the car’s age, it’s still capable of blasting funky tunes as you cruise around in style. This remarkable transformation serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of classic car designs and the creativity of skilled designers like Danni Koldal.
